Inside Sales Representative
Position Description
We are currently interviewing for an inside sales position in the wholesale and commercial sales department.
The following requirements, work experience, and skills will be necessary for the right person to fill the seat:

Education: A high school
diploma or GED is the minimum requirement. A bachelor’s degree in business
or communications would be helpful.

Experience: The role
require 2–3 years of experience in sales or customer-facing
environments. Years of experience in building materials supply would give the
candidate an advantage to filling the seat.

Technical
Skills: Proficiency with DMSI
or equivalent building materials software would be an advantage for the
candidate. Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office is a
requirement.

Persuasive
Communication:
Excellence in both verbal and written communication is required to pitch our products
and services effectively over the phone and via email.

Active
Listening: This is critical in our
heavy phone sales and support environment to understand customer pain points
and build trust without physical cues. The seat will also provide constant
support for our outside sales team.

Resilience
& Grit: The
ability to maintain a positive attitude and provide persistent effort despite customer
issues that will require patience and working with your team to provide
solutions.

Time
Management:
Organizing high volumes of daily activities—such as 100+ calls and 50+
emails—while staying productive in a fast-paced environment.
We are fully staffed during current
business hours on Monday-Friday from 7:00-4:00. Saturday business is conducted
with a limited staff from 8:00 until noon. The open position has a M-F work
schedule with occasional overtime opportunities on Saturdays. The hourly wage
for this position will start around $23-24 an hour based on the experience of
the candidate. A quarterly bonus is offered with a KPI schedule. There is a
401K plan available with an employer match of 50% of the first 6% of the
employee’s contribution. You begin accruing paid time off immediately and it
can be used after 30 days of employment. There is health insurance available through a
company plan, other voluntary insurance benefits, nine paid holidays per year, and
company work shirts are provided to every employee.
